The editor has several input modes. Standard modeIn this mode the input is performed the same way as in the common text editors. That is, the symbol is entered upon pressing appropriate key on the keyboard. At this moment, only English symbols are supported. To convert the English symbol into a Greek symbol please place a cursor near to the symbol and press Ctrl+G.Text selection is done via cursor keys while holding Shift. The selected fragment may be copied/cut into the clipboard using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+X respectively. The local clipboard may hold up to 9 fragments. Ctrl+V pastes the most recent fragment within the clipboard into the editor. Upon pressing Ctrl+M the editor displays all the fragments contained within the buffer. To paste one, please press the corresponding digit key on the keyboard.
Math symbols input modeThere are far more mathematical symbols than keys on any keyboard. To allow the user to enter various mathematical symbols which are not on the keyboard there is a special input mode within the editor. To access the mode from the standard mode, press Space. The background color of the editor will change. Now, upon pressing one of the keys listed in the table below, a matching panel will appear. To select the needed symbol on the panel a digit key with that symbol's number should be pressed followed by Enter. The symbol that was selected will be entered into the editor. To return to the standard mode without entering any symbol, hit Esc.
Template expressions input modeTo access this mode from the standard mode please hit Space twice. Templates are selected and entered similarly to the math symbols input mode. Here is a list of keys which trigger template panels:
