Prerequisites

To use Expressionism you need a MathML-capable web browser. Currently Mozilla Firefox and other browsers built on Gecko 1.8+ are MathML-capable. You may add MathML support into Microsoft Internet Explorer by installing MathPlayer plugin from Design Science.

This service was tested only on Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 with MathPlayer 2.1, that is why we provide extra information only for these configurations.

Also, Javascript should be allowed to use this service.

Microsoft Internet Explorer and MathPlayer

Internet Explorer does not have builtin MathML support, so you have to download and install MathPlayer. You may do so by clicking this picture (opens in new window): Download MathPlayer

Mozilla Firefox

Firefox does have builtin MathML support, but to have mathematical expressions rendered correctly you have to install additional fonts.

MathML support was broken in Firefox 1.5 between 1.5.0.2 and 1.5.0.7. So, if you still use one of these versions of Firefox and do not want to migrate to Firefox 2, you may have to update your browser to the most recent version in 1.5 branch.
